Policy report on radioligand therapy launched at European Parliament

22 January 2020

The Health Policy Partnership and an expert-led steering committee launched a policy report, Radioligand therapy: realising the potential of targeted cancer care, at the European Parliament on 22 January. The report describes six policy barriers to the wider integration of radioligand therapy into cancer care across Europe and outlines ten recommendations to overcome these.

The event was opened by co-hosts Tanja Fajon MEP (Slovenia), Ewa Kopacz MEP (Poland) and Brando Benifei MEP (Italy). It featured expert-led discussions with notable figures in nuclear medicine, oncology and European health policy focusing on the growing importance of radioligand therapy as a component of cancer care and the potential policy challenges on the horizon.
